Denver Broncos in 2010

After going 8-8 and finishing second in the AFC West, Head Coach Josh McDaniels is looking to take his team into the playoffs last seen in 2005. He and the team will have to deal with coaching changes as offensive coordinator/line coach Rick Dennison was hired on in the same position with the Houston Texans. RB coach Bobby Turner reunited with head coach Mike Shanahan becoming the Redskins RB coach. Former LB Coach Don Martindale took over as the defensive coordinator for Mike Nolan who left the team.

In the draft, the team had 9 selections using their two number first round draft choices on WR Demaryius Thomas (22nd overall selection) and Florida sensation QB Tim Tebow (25th overall). The only other offensive players selected were T Zane Beadles (45th overall selection) and WR Eric Decker (87th overall selection) and two centers J.D Walton (80th overall selection) and Erick Olsen (183rd overall selection).

In other moves, the team signed longtime PK Jason Elam to a 1-day contract so that he would be able to retire a Bronco and G Matt McChesney was forced to retire due to a golfing accident after a golf cart clipped his surgically repaired ankle. The team also traded FB Peyton Hillis and a 6th round 2011 draft pick to the Cleveland Browns for QB Brady Quinn. Longtime WR Brandon Marshall was also traded but to the Dolphins for a 2010 draft pick and a possible 2011 2nd round pick. Finally RB J.J. Arrington was traded to the Eagles for LB Joe Mays.

So come on out and support your Denver Broncos as they attempt to get back into the playoffs in 2010!
