Denver enters as a three point underdog
OLB Von Miller may have to lay some money down in Vegas after they have his Denver Broncos as three point home underdogs. Miller has pledged to make Cam Newton’s game miserable as he intends to get back to what he does best…sack quarterbacks. The coaching staff have noticed Miller’s more vocal attitude after signing a hefty $114.5 million contract.
“He seems to be more comfortable at everything, more focused,” Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips said. “He wanted to prove to everybody that maybe he’s the best player, maybe he’s the defensive player of the year. He was the MVP in the Super Bowl, but I think his next goal is to be the defensive player of the year.”
Cam has taken notice of the not so subtle Miller and had nothing but praise for the reigning Super Bowl MVP.
“He’s a great and exceptional talent, one of top players in this NFL by far, and we’ve got to account for him,” said Newton, who went 18-of-41 for 265 yards and an interception in the Super Bowl. “But not focusing everything on 58, because they have a very talented defensive line as a whole. And we’ve got to control DeMarcus Ware. We can’t let those guys dictate to us.”
As the week continues on, excitement is building for the team and fans alike. Thursday cannot come quickly enough.
“It doesn’t matter to us. You could have a Dorito on your shoulder for all we care,” Broncos safety T.J. Ward said. “But you still have to come in here and beat us.”

Las Vegas odds makers have the Carolina Panthers favored by 4.5 points as of today but the Panthers know that the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning have other thoughts on the subject, especially since the rumor of his impending retirement began swirling after their AFC Championship victory over the New England Patriots. While no word from Peyton is to be had, his brother Eli had his thoughts on his older brother.
“He’s not said anything to me about it,” Eli said on a conference call with reporters Wednesday. “I think I kind of think like everybody else where you see this as possibly being the last game. I don’t know if he knows himself or if he’s thought about it. When you get to Year 19 and kind of deal with some injuries and things going on, it’d be a good way to go out. I don’t know if it is, but because of that possibility, I hope that he can win this game and, if he decides to hang it up, go out on top.”
You still have the opportunity to be there live! Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to get yours today and help your Denver Broncos win Super Bowl 50
Who knew he still had wheels, but there he was, Peyton Manning running (and topping out at 17 MPH) running for a first down in what would be a drive to seal the game offensively. On the defensive end a few plays later, CB Aquib Talib sealed the game with an interceptions of Tom Brady in the end zone.
“There’s no question this is a sweet day; this was a sweet victory,” Manning said. “To me, this victory sort of is a great example of what this entire season has been like. It hasn’t been easy, it’s been a lot of different people stepping up doing their parts at different times.”
“He’s (Manning) going to do what he has to do to win,” Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said. “He’s one of the greatest competitors ever in this league.”
“For him to take off and make that play, I can’t tell you how he’s led the team the last three weeks,” Kubiak said.
The Broncos didn’t have to wait long to find out who they will be playing in Super Bowl 50 as Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers dismissed the Arizona Cardinals 49-15 to advance in the NFC representative.
“It’s a great honor to be going back to the Super Bowl — playing Super Bowl 50,” Manning said. “I’m really looking forward to it. It’s going to be a fun two weeks.”
