Denver enters as a three point underdog
OLB Von Miller may have to lay some money down in Vegas after they have his Denver Broncos as three point home underdogs. Miller has pledged to make Cam Newton’s game miserable as he intends to get back to what he does best…sack quarterbacks. The coaching staff have noticed Miller’s more vocal attitude after signing a hefty $114.5 million contract.
“He seems to be more comfortable at everything, more focused,” Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips said. “He wanted to prove to everybody that maybe he’s the best player, maybe he’s the defensive player of the year. He was the MVP in the Super Bowl, but I think his next goal is to be the defensive player of the year.”
Cam has taken notice of the not so subtle Miller and had nothing but praise for the reigning Super Bowl MVP.
“He’s a great and exceptional talent, one of top players in this NFL by far, and we’ve got to account for him,” said Newton, who went 18-of-41 for 265 yards and an interception in the Super Bowl. “But not focusing everything on 58, because they have a very talented defensive line as a whole. And we’ve got to control DeMarcus Ware. We can’t let those guys dictate to us.”
As the week continues on, excitement is building for the team and fans alike. Thursday cannot come quickly enough.
“It doesn’t matter to us. You could have a Dorito on your shoulder for all we care,” Broncos safety T.J. Ward said. “But you still have to come in here and beat us.”

The last time Pittsburgh Steelers and Broncos met for a chance at the AFC title, the Broncos enacted revenge from their 2005 34-17 loss to the Steelers with a 29-23 OT victory in 2011…and were led by Tim Teabow.
This weekends game marks the third time in 11 seasons that the two teams will meet in the playoffs and this year Peyton Manning will be behind center after missing a portion of the season with an injury. He has only taken 29 snaps in the past two months but he showed good mobility against the Chargers. His backup, Brock Osweiler has also returned from injury and will be ready if needed. Others returning to the lineup are DeMarcus Ware, T.J. Ward, Aquib Talib and Brandon Marshall.

After being pasted by the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks 43-8, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos have reloaded and are looking to get back to the scene of the crime, namely Super Bowl XLIX.
“Obviously, it was disappointing.” Manning said. “You study it. You study the game just like you do any game — a win or a loss. What went well, what didn’t go well. You try to be better for it and that’s what you have to do. We will use that to fuel us this offseason and, hopefully, it will make us better.”
In the off season, GM John Elway made moves that would not only improve the defense (signing DeMarcus Ware, Aquib Talib and TJ Ward) but improved the offensive side of the ball as well with the signing of free agent Emmanuel Sanders.
“The front office has addressed some offseason needs via free agency,” Manning told Fox News. “(Now) it’s up to the players to put in the hard work in the weight room, in the film room and on the practice field to try and be a better team this year.”
The Broncos lost Game three of the preseason to the Houston Texans 18-17. They face the Dallas Cowboys August 28th at 6pm. Great seats and cheap tickets are still available!
